LB Tech Support is a small independent technology-support business based in Llanelli, South Wales, run by Lewis. This policy explains how information you share through this website is handled.

Information collected through the support-request form

When you submit the support-request form, the following details are stored securely: your name, the email address or phone number you provide, the device type, your preferred contact method and a description of the problem. This information is used only to respond to your enquiry and to keep a record of the work carried out.

Enquiry information is retained for up to 24 months so that returning customers can be helped efficiently. You may request earlier deletion at any time by emailing lewisb@lb-techsupport.uk.

Lawful basis for processing

We process the information you provide through the support-request form and the assistant on the following lawful bases: (a) to respond to your request for services and to take steps at your request before entering into a service; (b) where appropriate, for our legitimate business interests in maintaining service records, administering the business and handling follow-up enquiries. We do not use this information for marketing.

Optional AI assistant

The website offers an optional AI-powered chat assistant to help gather information about your problem before you contact Lewis. If you choose to use it, the messages you type are sent to a third-party AI service through a secure server-side connection so that a reply can be generated. Chat conversations are not permanently stored unless you actively choose to transfer the collected details into the support-request form and submit that form.

Please do not share passwords, PINs, product keys, banking or payment details, identification documents or other sensitive personal files through the assistant. The assistant uses AI and may occasionally make mistakes; all enquiries are reviewed by LB Tech Support before any work begins.

Cookies

The site uses only the technical storage needed to display the website correctly. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to request a copy of the personal information held about you, to ask for it to be corrected, or to ask for it to be deleted. To exercise these rights, email lewisb@lb-techsupport.uk.

Complaints

If you remain concerned about how your personal information has been handled, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
